Community Investment Tax Relief (CITR) is a helpful tool for responsible finance providers wishing to raise private investment. However, often organisations are not clear about the detailed rules and regulations underpinning the scheme. The aim of this course is to provide a clear overview of how CITR can be used in practice.
It will cover a number of areas where there has been confusion in the past and offer responsible finance providers an insight into how Government implements the programme. In particular, it will cover which businesses are eligible to receive loans (which is not solely based on the geography of the business). It will also address the current State Aid rules relating to CITR.
The course is a must for anyone considering applying for CITR accreditation as well as a great refresher for accredited responsible finance providers.
The course will be led by Seb Aslan and Rob Freeman, of Community Investment Services Ltd at CCLA, Senator House, 85 Queen Victoria St, London EC4V 4ET. Lunch will be provided.
