Tim is an experienced executive leader with a strong track record in responsible finance, technology enabled lending, and social impact.
For seven years he served as CEO of Salad Finance, an FCA regulated social enterprise providing fair, affordable credit to NHS and public sector workers. Under Tim’s leadership, Salad grew to become the UK’s largest consumer lending CDFI, pioneering the use of Open Banking data to support people excluded from mainstream credit markets. His work helped demonstrate that financial inclusion and commercial sustainability can successfully coexist.
Tim is widely respected for his commitment to improving outcomes for near prime and sub prime borrowers, championing the need for a fair mid cost credit market and advocating for approaches that build long term consumer resilience. He brings deep expertise in credit data, technology driven innovation, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory environments.
Prior to leading Salad, Tim held senior roles at Big Issue Invest and worked extensively in consumer credit data, products, and services. Earlier in his career he held executive positions in listed and private equity backed technology companies, where he led fundraising, product development, business growth, and operational improvement initiatives.
As a member of the Responsible Finance board, Tim contributes invaluable insight into mission led lending, Open Banking innovation, and the evolving needs of underserved consumers across the UK.
