07.10.2025 Today’s Times newspaper covers the British Business Bank’s Nations and Regions Tracker 2025, which gives an analysis of geographic patterns in UK small business finance.
The Times’ article covers the Tracker’s findings that businesses’ location affects their ability to borrow money; businesses in poorer areas are more likely to be discouraged; and some of the BBB’s initiatives which bridge the gap in access to finance.
The piece, which follows other positive coverage of CDFIs in the Times, highlights that CDFIs are able to provide finance to businesses turned down by other lenders and that government guarantee schemes have been extended.
