Wonderful local businesses and social enterprises are the vital spark in their communities. They’re the heart of their villages, towns and cities – innovating, building potential, employing people, creating opportunities.
A new podcast by our member, the Business Enterprise Fund (BEF) features inspiration, practical insights and tips from some of the businesses and social enterprises it has funded, such as:
• Lyndsay Watterson, now employing ten people and selling walking sticks all over the world
• Shaun Delaney, whose business turnover has increased from £325,000 to £6m
• and Ben Fry, a “wizard who turned down a dragon but said yes to BEF.”
All the guests are united by one factor: they had a dream to grow and used finance from BEF to make it happen. They give the inside story about their business journeys and all the lessons learned on the way in these fascinating and candid interviews.
