05.10.2021 Today’s Times newspaper published a letter from Peter Udale, a Responsible Finance director, about turning “levelling up” from a catchphrase into measures with tangible outcomes.
Udale notes that levelling up should create more opportunities for business and employment, especially for disadvantaged people and in areas of deprivation; that CDFIs have a fine track record of success; that the Chancellor should, in his spending review, take note of the US finance secretary’s support of CDFIs in America.
