Today’s i newspaper highlighted community development finance institutions, “social enterprises which provide credit to those who find it hard to access finance from mainstream lenders.”
The article drew on data in our annual report – our members made 45,900 personal loans totalling £26 million, with around 23,230 of these loans to people who had previously borrowed from a high-cost lender.
