What are the attributes of an ‘outstanding’ leader? Can they be learned?
Paul Kalinauckas is the Chief Executive of responsible finance provider BCRS, which he helped establish in 2002. And he was recently named the winner of the Outstanding Leader Award in the 2016 Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards, collecting his Award from the BBC’s Justin Webb at the ceremony in Manchester.
Jamie Veitch interviewed Paul to ask him about the characteristics of an outstanding leader. Paul also reflects on the difference between leadership and management and discusses his leadership philosophy. Listen to the interview here:
Responsible Finance partnerned with the Citi Foundation to bring the global Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards to the UK for the third year. The awards celebrate the economic and social impact of responsible finance providers on the people and places of Britain, and champion the outstanding microentrepreneurs who are creating jobs, services and prosperity in their communities.
